A very sad day
Today was a very sad day at The Great Garden of Anacostia, Khadija May and I discovered that the plant that had sprouted from our oregano seeds was actually a weed. The oregano seeds were destroyed by some unknown pest. There was a moment of silence given to the deceased herb. After the eulogy given and all the tears were dropped Khadija and I began to replant. It was hard getting over the loss of one so special but we had to move on. While digging to replant the seeds we made an amazing discovery. We found a Japanese beetle! This beetle is fatal to all garden fruits and vegetables. It might or might not have been the culprit for the late oregano seeds, but the investigation is underway. Hopefully justice will be served.
