Lately we have been talking about this movie called Food, Inc. The movie showed the corruption in the processing of our food. It showed how companies process the food in factories, and ship them to different customers. There was a debate over the USDA saying a farmer couldn't butcher chickens outside of his home, because of contamination, but there has been E. coli found in the meats and vegetables they have in the factories, which the USDA says are clean.
Earlier we went to the garden for a little bit because of the rain. We looked in our garden bed and saw that some of our plants have grown. We did not need to water them because of the rain last night. I am looking forward to some of my vegetable plants growing so I can take them home to my mom.
