Back in the garden! We had
a break yesterday because of the heat. Today was hard for me to work because it
is still hot. Despite the heat, I got my work done. We are each assigned
different responsibilities every week. Last week I was in charge of watering
the plants. This week I am in charge of compost. Compost helps enrich the soil and
that is why it is important to manage compost. We need to keep the soil healthy
because without healthy soil there will be no success in the Great Garden.
I like the way we rotate responsibilities. I get
to learn a little bit of everything. I learned how to water plants and manage
compost. I still have to learn weeding, pest management, and pruning. There is
always something new to learn when working in the garden.
Today we also worked on
our signage. We want to make sure our garden gets noticed. We put our
creativity together to make great signs for the garden.
